Samsung’s Host its Unpacked Event

In 2024, on January 17, Samsung will hold its inaugural Galaxy Unpacked event, the South Korean tech giant announced on Wednesday. The SAP Center in San Jose will host this event in person, and it will also be live-streamed on all of Samsung’s official channels. It is anticipated that the event will feature the upcoming Galaxy S phone generation, which is most likely going to be dubbed the Galaxy S24.

This year’s Unpacked event from Samsung is early because the company’s last two flagship models that aren’t foldable were released in February. On February 1, 2023, the Galaxy S23 series was unveiled, while on February 9, 2022, the Galaxy S22 range made its debut.

Press members will receive invitations confirming the date of the event, which will be live-streamed on YouTube and Samsung’s social media accounts. Samsung describes the Galaxy S24 as “the most intelligent mobile experience yet,” without naming it specifically.

The invitation’s tagline, “Galaxy AI is coming,” alludes to the latest flagship series’ built-in AI capabilities, which are rumored to include the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models.

According to the firm, the upcoming Galaxy S series “will raise the bar for the smartest mobile experience to date.” Additionally, “an all-new mobile experience powered by AI” is hinted at.

Furthermore, through its India website, Samsung has launched a reservation service for the Galaxy S24 series. To secure the phones as soon as possible, interested consumers can pay Rs. 1,999 to sign up for the VIP ticket.

The event will include “the latest updates to the Galaxy smartphone portfolio.” The business goes one step further in its teaser video, saying outright that “Galaxy AI will be arriving,” so prepare for some sort of artificial intelligence created by Samsung that will be available on devices. The second pair of teaser videos show someone enlarging objects in images with the pinch-to-zoom action, which largely validates an earlier rumor regarding the devices’ possible feature set.

One UI 6.1, which is based on Android 14, and AMOLED LTPO screens with customizable refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz are expected to be features of Samsung’s Galaxy S24 range. The standard models may have 50-megapixel triple camera modules, but the Ultra variant is rumored to include a 200-megapixel quad-camera configuration.

The Galaxy S24 might run on the company’s exclusive Exynos 2400 chip. “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy” is the name given to the modified Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC that the phone may come within the US and Canada. In contrast, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy is probably going to be included in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24+ for all markets.
