Tom Nitti left The Voice season 24 early, but he maintained a close friendship with many of his castmates, including Huntley, who won this season!
After the season 24 finale on Wednesday, the country music artist congratulated his friend on his significant victory on his Instagram page.
“Wishing you well, @huntleymusic I’m incredibly proud of this guy right now.” A video of the two of them singing was captioned by Tom. “The first person I met after landing in California said, “Bro, you’re Tom right, killer voice man,” as soon as he approached me” ” We bonded well, exchanged tales, and joined a large, encouraging network of friends and family. I’m so glad for you, friend! “Keep on rockin’!”
Tom Nitti, Reba McEntire’s country music partner, was absent from the playoffs, leaving her team shorthanded. At the time, we were only informed that his absence was due to “personal reasons.” Tom has now revealed that he left Team Reba after finding out that his ex-wife was requesting primary custody of their two kids.
Nitti disclosed the truth in an exclusive interview with the Utica Observer-Dispatch
He told the outlet, “The biggest misconception is when people think I went on the show knowing that I would leave.” “Everything happened so fast, and I had to decide right away. I’ll explain why my family was my first choice.
Despite their strained relationship, he was trying his best to co-parent with his ex-wife. Nitti had been invited to compete in season 23 of The Voice, but he had to wait a year to get a leave of absence from his work as a New York State Trooper.
However, he was having success pursuing a music career. Tom advanced through the Battles and Knockouts, making it to the Playoffs, when his lawyers informed him that he would have to battle his ex-wife for child custody. Reba had turned her chair for him during the Blind Auditions. And Tom made his child’s choice.
Though he didn’t find it easy, he ultimately concluded that leaving The Voice was the right move.
Nitti explained, “I made this decision because I couldn’t imagine losing my kids, not because I missed them. Though I’m pleased with my choice, should it have come to that? No.
Nitti’s Reasons for Quitting Voice Season 24
Tom announced his decision to leave The Voice on Instagram the day following the Playoffs, citing his children as the reason behind it.
First and foremost, I’m incredibly fortunate, and I can’t express how much I value and love my family, friends, and fans for their unwavering support.
As painful as it is to admit, I had to make what was probably one of the easiest and hardest decisions I have ever had to make. In the end, though, my kids will always come first, and if I had to make the same choice again, I would.

I am so grateful to @nbcthevoice for making it possible for me to fulfill my life’s ambitions and live up to my dreams. In the Blind Auditions, Reba was the only coach to press her button for Tom’s countrified rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours).” Tom was a single chair turn. However, before leaving The Voice season 24, Tom advanced through the Battle and Knockout rounds and into the Playoffs.
