Poco M6 5G Is Launched In India
The subbrand of Xiaomi, Poco is now getting ready for the long-awaited December 22 launch of the Poco M6 5G in India. Through its social media accounts, the corporation has formally announced the release date.
Several smartphones have their official worldwide debut in India today, including the Oppo A59 from previously. The Poco M6, a smartphone featuring MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ SoC and 4/6/8GB of RAM that can be expanded to a maximum of 8GB, joins the group.
The Poco M6 5G is a cost-effective smartphone that the company has introduced in India. Notable features of the smartphone are its 90Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ CPU, 50MP camera, and 5,000 mAh battery. A fingerprint scanner that is affixed to the side is also included.
In India, the Poco M6 5G will go up against devices like the Samsung Galaxy M14 5G, Lava Storm 5G, Redmi 12 5G, and others.
On Friday, the Poco M6 5G was released in India. According to its claims, it’s the “most inexpensive 5G phone ever.” A MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage powers the phone. It comes with MIUI 14, an Android 13-based skin. The phone also has an extended battery life and supports 18W wired charging. Later this month, it will go on sale with a pair of colors and three RAM and storage combinations.
Poco M6 5G availability and price range in India
The Poco M6, which is available in Galactic Black and Orion Blue colorways, is normally priced at INR 10,499 for the base model, which has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The base 4GB + 128GB RAM and storage combination of the Poco M6 5G costs Rs. 10,499; the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB models cost Rs. 11,499 and Rs. 13,499, respectively. But thanks to a bank promotion, you can get the M6 for just INR 9,499, which Poco claims makes it the most reasonably priced 5G smartphone in India to date.
The Poco M6 5G will only be sold through Flipkart, beginning on December 26 at noon IST. According to the website, customers who use their ICICI Bank debit or credit cards at the moment of purchase would be eligible for a cashback offer of Rs. 1,000.
Poco M6 5G features and specifications
The Poco M6 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged at 18W rapid speed. The smartphone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a Type-C port for charging. With a 6.74-inch HD+ (1,600 x 720 pixel) display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, TÜV low blue lighting, and flicker-free certification, pixel density of 260 ppi, peak brightness of 600 nits, and a touch sampling rate of 180 Hz, the Poco M6 5G is equipped with these features.
The Poco M6 5G has a 50-megapixel AI-backed primary camera and an unidentified secondary sensor on the rear for its camera system. The 5-megapixel front camera is housed in a centrally located water drop gap at the top of the screen. It has a 5MP front-facing camera for taking selfies.
With support for 18W wired charging, the 5,000mAh battery of the Poco M6 5G is powerful. It features a scanner mounted on the side for security. Additionally, the phone has a 3.5mm audio connector. It has USB Type-C, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 5, 4G LTE, and 5G connection. The phone is 168 x 77.91 x 8.19 mm in size and weighs 195 g.
