“Dunki” opening day at the box office

On Thursday, with great celebration, Shah Rukh Khan’s third movie of the year, Dunki, debuted in theaters. At 5:55 in the morning, Mumbai’s renowned single-screen theater Gaiety Galaxy hosted the premiere of the Rajkumar Hirani film in India. Based on the images from the theater that went viral online, the event appeared to be a revelry.

Based on preliminary estimates, industry tracker Sacnilk stated that Dunki is expected to make approximately Rs 30 crore this Thursday. The film’s occupancy rates for the morning and afternoon shows, respectively, were 26.45% and 21.77%. Around 24.11% of Hindi-speaking viewers saw the entire film. Notably, the SRK film debuted in theaters on a weekday that is open for business.

The other setback for Dunki, though, will be Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, which opens in theaters this Friday. The movie is putting Dunki to the test at the ticket booths even before it opens. With the sale of 16,83,871 tickets, the film had already made Rs 35.23 crore in revenue before its opening day.

Early Prediction of Day 1 Box Office Collection for Dunki

In theaters, Dunki-mania has started. Fans of Shah Rukh Khan are excited to see him on screen for the third time this year, and the first day’s shows have been reserved. Rajkumar Hirani, the film’s director, is a proponent of letting the content speak to the viewer without using a lot of hype or extensive marketing. Although he has had complete success with the strategy in the past, things with Dunki seem a little different because it’s not a solo release.

The movie has a respectable pre-ticket sales figure; it is not as strong as that of Jawan or Pathaan, which both caused a stir at the box office. According to the trade website Silk, Dunki sold 4.49 lakh tickets as of 7 p.m. on Wednesday, earning a total of Rs 12.57 crore from its first day of sales. The movie will end its advance ticket sales booking run on the first day of release at approximately Rs 15 crore gross much less than what Pathaan, Jawan, or even Gadar 2 made.

Jawan made an astounding Rs 40.75 crore gross, compared to Pathaan’s Rs 30.01 crore gross. Dunki is predicted to open in India between Rs 30-32 crore net with spot-bookings combined, which is a respectable amount given the genre of the movie. After social media reviews and word-of-mouth for Dunki and Salaar have been received, it will be captivating to see the Saturday collection.

Salaar, which stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is anticipated to make between Rs. 40 and Rs. 50 crore when it opens in India. Although it is a significant amount for a movie, the film’s future success will be contingent on its reviews.
