Samsung Confirms the launching date of Samsung Galaxy S24
The eagerly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 series, which will launch internationally and in India in early 2024, is getting closer. According to the most recent speculations and leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S24 will likely have satellite connectivity, just like the iPhone 15.
Although there have been many renders and rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the South Korean tech company has not yet publicly confirmed the existence of the series. The vanilla Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra variants are anticipated to be part of the flagship lineup when it officially launches in January of the following year.
The Galaxy S24 series will cost the same as the Galaxy S23 range, according to a rumor published in the Korean daily Hankyung. This indicates that in the US, the beginning prices for the next Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will be $799 (about Rs. 65,500), $999 (about Rs. 81,900), and $1199 (about Rs. 98,300), respectively.
It is anticipated that Samsung’s decision to include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and its proprietary Exynos 2400 chip in the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus in a few markets will aid the business in maintaining price. According to reports, the company’s price freeze policy has caused it to set a target for product sales of over 33 million units.
Samsung Galaxy S24 confirms satellite reception
It turns out that “Emergency texts via satellite” is one of the capabilities displayed in a screenshot from what looks to be a Galaxy smartphone. For those who are unaware, the next Galaxy S24 series is a possible contender because none of the Samsung phones currently on the market have satellite communication.
With the capability to send texts while in a remote location outside of network coverage, the Galaxy S24’s satellite connectivity brings us one step closer to reality. There have been discussions about calling being included in Samsung’s deployment of satellite connectivity, yet given the tipped screenshot, that may not be the case.
This feature allows users to send an SOS signal to emergency services. The user’s whereabouts will also be communicated to their emergency contacts. A “Medical Info” section should also alert emergency services to potential medical issues and allergies before surgeries and medications are administered.
Details of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Camera Leaked
The leaks about the top-tier Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra camera provide insight into what to anticipate from the Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to include a 200MP primary wide-angle camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP 10x zoom, and a 50MP 5x camera.
The story goes on to say that Samsung would use a 200MP sensor and that Sunny Optical and Namuga will supply the 12MP ultrawide sensor. Additionally, MCNEX now has a 12MP front camera, while Namuga will provide S24 Ultra.
However, similar to the current Galaxy S23 series, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus will have a 50MP main, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP 3x zoom sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series as a whole conforms to 3GPP standards to provide satellite communication; however, it is unclear whether this capability is available in all markets or only a few specific ones.
Pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Series
Regarding the cost, no information has been officially announced as of yet, but it is said that the South Korean behemoth is aiming for the same costs as those from the previous year. This is an effort to compete with competitors such as the Apple iPhone 15 series and OnePlus 12, as well as increase sales in the recovering market.
Samsung shipped 33 million Galaxy S23 series smartphones last year. The goal is to increase sales by 10% with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, which should bring the total to above 36 million units.
